I wouldn't say they drop less, they don't drop at all.
Eternal Blades, Crystalline Swords don't drop anymore but Stygian reavers still do.

Edit : Did anyone actually has an Obsidian Edge/Emerald Blade dropped from the Z-chest?

When Z chest was introduced, there were people with loads of faction to trade for keys. So the chances of an eternal blade coming out of the chest is higher as 1: more keys, 2: more people trying for it

Now? most people gives up after they had enuf cream bruee and fire water.

After the new everlasting tonics were found price of the keys went up again. Lots of people tried their luck. At least one Cryst/Eternal should have been reported here.
